I LOVE your figure work and I love that you found your way to painting the ocean after just declaring last week that it might not be for you. I think they turned out fantastic. Congrats on going for the places that felt uncomfortable and coming out on the other side!

Sorry I'm only replying now! But I'm always happy to hear your thoughts and appreciate your encouragement. I'm never too far away from the ocean; I just have to remind myself to keep exploring new ways to connect with it. I've surprised myself with how much I have enjoyed the challenge of drawing people, and I still am! There's so much to learn from stepping out of your comfort zone.

I really admire your work Suzan. I think I’m going to have to follow along for a while before I feel brave enough to begin a creative visual practice with paints. Though I do have materials from some years ago ☺️

Hi Linn! Oh, what a lovely compliment, thank you! You can follow for as long as you like, but you don't need to wait to be brave enough to give it a go; you can start anytime with baby steps. It's time to get those art supplies and dust them off—hahaha.

Thanks x.

So beautiful! I just love the looseness to your figurative work! Very inspiring and makes me want to get into the studio and paint 🎨

So cool to hear it captures the sense of movement, I don't mean to but it seems to happen quite often ;) Thanks for your lovely comment, Wren.
