Thanks for asking, Bethany! If everything goes as planned, I'll share the post with the video session around midday CEST (Amsterdam time zone). It not a live workshop, so you can check it anytime later tomorrow.

I also really liked "Happy Surprises" but I would always find myself explain it to people what it was about....and the word happy was feeling too happy when it wasn't, if you know what i mean, lol.
I changed the name of my Substack too. After awhile, my writing evolved and the name no longer fit the content. Changing the name freshens things, offers a new possibilities, and attracts a different group of readers. Good call.
Oh you did, what did you change it to? You are so right, I already feel a sense of new energy and hopefully it will attract my ideal, people to create and paint with.
Originally, it was called Elder Mentor. I changed it to A Delicate Bloom of Learning. I ended that Substack last spring and returned to Under Magnifying Glass, which was my first Substack. I don't keep a regular schedule. I just publish when I have something to say. We can make up our own rules here and that is liberating.
Oh I have a more jellyfish photos for another time!
So happy to hear that you love the name, that's a good sign! And excited to paint with you again over the weekend. I hope to be more organised this time, but not making any promises, haha. Till then x
"Happy Surprises" was a lovely name and expressed a lot of what you were trying to convey about being playful and free with art. But Creative Wanderlust? Oomph! It just brings it to a whole new level! I love how it encompasses the travel part of your newsletter and life as well. And this: "reflecting the pursuit of exploration fueled by curiosity." Glad you took a chance and made the change.❤️
Hey Aimee, it's always really nice to get your perspective on my posts and artwork, thank you!
Your words made me miss "Happy Surprises" for a minute because I do want to continue conveying "being playful and free with art." However, I needed to find a way to incorporate the travel aspect to expand my lifestyle and creative expression.
I also think I am still in the stage of exploring my art style, where it's going and figure out what I want to paint more of that brings me joy and helps me grow my skills. So, I'm glad you pointed out "reflecting the pursuit of exploration fuelled by curiosity."
My challenge now is to find a structure for my posts that allows me to continue experimenting while considering what I can offer to paid subscribers and still keeping the content free.
I definitely think the playfulness and freedom aspect is still encompassed in your new name! I hope that came across in my comment since it was meant to be encouraging. 🥳 (I regularly think about whether the name of my Substack is holding all that I mean for it too...)
It wasn't discouraging at all—I enjoyed your feedback and found it insightful in a positive way. I was just having a moment of thinking out loud, trying to figure things out.
I love your Substack name, but also see how we sometimes feel the need to give it a deeper meaning x.
Yay! So happy to hear it resonates with you, Ellen! I’m going to take it slow and gentle for this challenge and should call it — let’s paint this weekend, rather than a challenge ☺️
Good luck with yours!!! I can’t wait to hear about it 🌼🌼
What time is this workshop? How does one sign up? Thank you.

Day one is up, a weee late but hopeful you’ll get a change to check it out this week ☺️✨
Great new name! Your lifestyle and writing are all about exploration—travel & artistic! 👍
Hey Wren! So awesome to hear you say this because it’s taken me a while to reach this conclusion too ☺️
I've got a busy weekend, but I'm excited to give this a try, even if I end up being a bit late.
Yay! So excited to see your art again, and paint wit you! I promise to keep the videos shorter and easy enough for a weekend creative session.
By the way, I love your Substack name, Writing Wilder. Interesting enough, the word Wild was on the cards!
Thank you! I loved your happy surprises, but I'm glad you're doing what feels right, and creative wanderlust is beautiful (and relatable).
I also really liked "Happy Surprises" but I would always find myself explain it to people what it was about....and the word happy was feeling too happy when it wasn't, if you know what i mean, lol.

I'm all about making our own rules!!! And it's so cool you've experiment with the names and doing your own thing, good for you!
Love the new name, it suits you down to a T
Hi Sally! Oh this makes me so happy and excited for the change 🌼

Hi Rebecca! Thanks for the very beautiful words, I should add "smile-inducing post" to anytime someone asks what I post, I love it, thank you!
It really is so lovely and exciting to celebrate the new name with my Substack, friends 🌼
😁
