These are all great tips to help find that spark. The pattern one is a great idea I need to do more of.

Great to hear it! I’m curious to know what you’ll try with the pattern prompt idea?!

While filming my doodle exercise yesterday, I intentionally changed the direction of my hand movements from automatic to clockwise and anticlockwise, and it was an interesting way to release tension.

I love all these ideas!! I really need to devote more time to doodling and drawing with no results in mind, just taking in the journey, I so enjoy it when I do! Your original pieces are beautiful 😍

Awe this makes me so happy to hear!! That’s the fun part about doodling, that you don’t have to focus on the results but it’s also with painting. It’s enjoying the process that makes it fun to do and explore.

Thank you for your compliment on my paintings and I looking forward to making new art upcoming weeks!

P.S did your son like his watercolour set?

Oh thank you, yes he does like it... initially though he wasn't that interested (more immediate fun from other gifts I think 😉) but my eldest set him up with it while I was away and he spent a good hour or two on painting a piece outside... of our little play house, lawn with the daffodils. He was thrilled with his results and especially the "professional" set up. 😆 xx

I plan to find a moment later today for a doodle. Loved reading this; important reminders to start the day.

Oh I really hope you find a moment to doodle today even if it’s just scribbles. So happy to enjoy reading this 🌻

Btw, I hope you had a lovely experience at your new job!!!

I resonate with so much of this. my head is quite full today (and this week) and my tendency is to add on more information by playing a podcast or opening a non-fiction book. Earlier today I realized I need less information and more stillness. More deep breaths. And I love movement as well! My bike ride this morning with the wind on my face...Somehow, in that case, movement does bring stillness!

Great post and prompts. (love non-dominant hand drawing)

Hi Aimee! It's great to hear that you resonate with this. You never know if you are just speaking to yourself ☺️

The other day, I had a similar experience in the kitchen—I couldn't start a task without finding the perfect podcast episode, which ended up taking quite a while, that was a bit silly! Funny enough, you mentioned riding a bike too, because I was actually thinking of adding a picture of someone riding a bike, but I ended up choosing one of me running on the beach instead.

And yes, yes, to taking more deep breaths!

Happy to hear you enjoyed this post, thank you 💛

Oooh stillness. I’m not carving out much time or space for solitude at the moment but I do enjoy 5 minutes here and there to daydream 💭

Well, I view daydreaming as a way of making time for yourself, as it involves your thoughts drifting away, allowing you to relax your wandering mind ☺️

Thanks for sharing your thoughts ☀️
